Documentation Strategy

For documentation purposes I always tend to keep a folder with the title of the project on my computer and a back up drive. In that folder I first start with a word document where I write my initial ideas and inspirations and I keep adding them up until I have the beginning of a first draft script.

Then I proceed to keep different stages of the script in separate documents as it evolves so I am able to see a clear growth and how to project changed throughout the process of making.

As I start going into the studio, I begin to take pictures and film different stages of rehearsals, especially with movement based shows.

As of 2024, I hardly use social media platforms to document any work that I am doing but for future endeavours, I am planning on using it as a documentation & marketing tool that will start from the early stages of the production. (With no spoilers!)

Please see some examples below from Chandelier, a show created in collaboration with Yu Fan Lee and George Murray, a piece inspired by Carl Jung's Map of the Soul and the notion of the persona, ego and shadow.

Below you can see an example of how I keep notes and document early stages of the production. These photos & videos are the kind of content I will start using in my documentation and marketing strategy.
